What to Wear Wednesday!!!! Newborn Photos

What should your baby wear for his/her first portraits? Or should he/she wear anything at all? Now days newborn photos can be taken in a variety of ways. I remember when my first baby had photos. She was propped up in her prettiest dress with me hiding in the background holding her up while the photographer tried to get her to smile for the camera. Her first photos were when she was 3 months. Newborn photos weren't what they are today. They have become so very popular, I wish I had done it with my own kids.  How do you want the photos of your little darling to be seen 20 years from now? Well, here are a few tips.....

Take some photos with and without clothes.
If you are not comfortable with photographing
your baby without clothes, than down to the diaper.
You will want to remember every
inch of them at this size.

Use a special blanket or scarf instead of clothes.
This will make the photo even more personal.

Make sure Mom and Dad get in the photos as well.
I suggest they wear something neutral to
keep the emphasis on your new baby.
Dad, take a photo with your newborn without your shirt.
Skin to skin is so sweet!!

If you want to put clothes on your baby for some of the photos,
that is totally fine.
Don't feel like you are the only one who chooses to
dress your baby when you see so many naked ones out there. hehe.
I suggest you choose something simple
without too many frills or big collars.
These can get in the way of the babies face
or make your baby uncomfortable.

This is my personal opinion, so take it as you wish.
Never put shoes on a newborn!!!! Why?
Because their little feet and toes are
way to precious to not show off.

Lastly, be sure to bring more than one thing to put your baby in.
More than likely, you will need to change
because of the little messes that come with these little sweeties.

There you have it. Some tips for your babies first photos. Remember, just have fun! Don't be stressed if your baby cries. If you have a good photographer, they have put aside lots of time for you to capture your photos.

Happy Clicking!!
