I look in my closet to pick something to wear for church and find myself passing by the white clothing for fear that the old adage of "no white after Labor Day" still stands. Well, I decided to do some digging and apparently it is not so true any longer. According to People magazine, the wearing of white before Labor Day may have originated in the 20's. White was worn in the Summer because it was cooler than darker colors. White was then replaced by darker colors after August because the weather began to get cooler. To read more check out this link. Then you decide if you are going to pass by white in your closet. I don't think I will any longer.
