Photography studios are still around but you may have noticed that the department store studios are becoming a thing of the past. The digital era is making it easier to choose a backdrop and have it put into your photo in post processing. Phones have become better photo takers than an expensive camera.....well, sometimes.
I prefer outdoor photography because it offers natural lighting and endless options. Drive around and you can find several areas that would make beautiful backdrops for your photos. Check out your own backyard for ideas. Browse photos online to get oodles of ideas. Keep in mind that the location should match the personality of the people in the photo. Have fun and try all sorts of different places.
If you decide to go with the digital options, again browse online and you will find many ideas.
