I am not sure why I took this picture. I guess it just struck me somehow. I need to work more on less noise in my photos.

Day 1

As I said before, I am doing a 365 project and here is Day 1! My 11 year old daughter decided to redesign my curtains by tying then in a knot. I think it is kind of neat. 

365 Project

I have decided to start a 365 project. This is where I take a photo everyday for a year to learn more about taking photos and get practice. I will post the photo I have taken each day. 

I have been learning about light in photography. I learn new things about my camera everyday. Here are a few examples of what I have taken. Like one guy I was listening to said "photography is deceptively easy". In other words, people think they can pick up a camera and just take a random photo. And most of the time they can and it turns out great, but to get just the right photo, lighting is vital. 

This is a sweet little Girl Scout that I couldn't pass up on taking a picture of while we were out hiking.

I want to get to know my fans, so I am going to post questions every so often to learn more about you. My first question....would you take advantage of a 15 minute mini session in a park or would you rather have a full session in the place of your choice?

8th grade portraits
