Here is a photo I did several years ago for a co worker and friend. Her sweet daughter was turning 15 and she wanted some photos for her Quinceanera. Isn't she beautiful!?! I had so much fun with these photos and felt truly blessed to be asked to take them.

A Week in My Shoes
Hey, everyone. Terri here again. I want to tell you a little about a week in my shoes. Most of what you see or hear of me is photos or videos. I want you to know me. Like getting to know a character in a book. They sometimes seem like they live next door.
My kids finished their 2nd week of school. I work at one of the schools in my town, so when Summer is over my life gets super busy. I have 3 jobs...... Mom, photographer, and lunch lady to many, many elementary age children. I love my 3 jobs, but doing them all at once gets a little intense.
This past Summer break I really put many hours into growing my business. My goal is to stay home and be a full time business owner. But this takes so much time, energy, and emotion. I am tired and feel like I am busy almost every minute of the day. I am not complaining. I have really enjoyed the work of building my business and have learned so much about business in the 21st century. It is amazing! Really it is!!
My week consists of taking my kids to school and then going off to work. I go to the gym after work and run errands. I go home and do housework, make dinner and several other details to take care of my family. I then sit down and work on my photography business. I try to spend time on it every day. On Wednesdays, my kids go to youth group and me and my hubby have a little date night. Friday, I do my grocery shopping for the coming week. Saturday I take off. No cleaning. No business. Just my family. Sunday is church and family movie night. I usually fit in some chores as well.
Whew! I have to sigh just thinking about it. But you know what? I love it. I love being a mom and a wife and a business owner. I wouldn't change anything. I am truly blessed!
What is your week like? Do you work or do you stay home? Do you have children? I want to get to know you. Think of me as your neighbor. Let's get to know each other. Please tell me about yourself in the comments below. I can't wait to hear from you, neighbor.

Throwback Thursday!!!
I was a member of a photography group and we went out to a nearby lake to take photos of the full moon rising up over the mountains. This was 4 years ago and I still love how this photo turned out. To see more photos go to Day 38 of my 365 photo challenge blog post.

Throwback Thursday!!!
I am still posting photos from 2013
This is one of the first babies I ever photographed after starting my business. She is the daughter to one of my friends. She is so precious, but not a baby anymore.
I was able to capture her discovering a couple flowers I had laid in the grass as props. Her sweet smile says that she appears to love them. 💮
I enjoy capturing life and expressions as they happen. Taking photos is telling a story as well as freezing a moment in time.

What to Wear Wednesday! Fall 2017
Fall is right around the corner whether we like it or not. Is it your favorite season? If so, I am sure you are excited. Personally, mine is Summer. I have enjoyed this Summer to it's fullest and will enjoy it until I have to break out my Fall jacket.
This weeks what to wear is the Fall fashions that are on their way to our stores, or maybe are there already. I peeked at them and noticed some of the styles I grew up with are making a comeback. Showing my age, aren't I? Well, I won't tell you younger folks when they were in style.

Throwback Thursday!!!
Today's throwback photo is from April of 2013....Prom time. This is my daughter and her 2 friends striking a pose for me. They had a sweet time at prom that year. Now they are all graduated. Since graduation they have had college, wedding engagements, and new friends. Such a change from the drama of high school life. ❈❈

What to Wear Wednesday!!! Fall Family Photos 2017
It is August!!! Fall is coming, ready or not! That means that school will be starting again, days will be getting shorter and the nights cooler and of course time to think about those Fall family photos. Why do people prefer Fall for photos? Well, the obvious is the changing of the leaves, but also because Christmas is on it's way. People begin thinking about what photo to use on their cards again this year.
I like the Fall for the most part. I used to live up north in North Dakota and Minnesota. As a matter of fact, I was born there. I lived there for over 30 years. Fall was not my favorite time of year because it ushered in Winter and I don't like Winter. It is so pretty but it is so cold there. Now I live in Arizona, so Fall is not so bad and Winter is more like I like it. hehe
Back to the Fall photos. Today's What to Wear tip is about Fall photos and what to wear. I found this really informative article that gives so many awesome tips on Fall photos. Click the link to check it out!!
50 Family Photo Ideas
I hope this article helps you get your family photos in the planning stages. It is a busy time of year, but it is also fun! If you have any fun stories or photos from past family sessions, share them with me here. I would love to hear them! Until then....
