Ok, I confess that my cat is fat and lazy. We try to monitor what he eats but he finds ways to break into his food. We love him very much though. He is fun to cuddle!!!

March 29

This year we are going to give a garden a shot again. We have not had much luck in the past, but we are not giving up. Actually, my daughter showed the interest and I love having my kids learn new things. In this egg carton is tomatoes and cilantro. We will see how it goes!!!

This day was my hubby's birthday. Yes, 3 out of the 6 of us have birthdays in March. So, we are pretty much poor by April. hehe I got cupcakes instead of cake and asked them to write on them. My daughter and hubby shared the cake. It was fun and oh so yummy!!!!

What is that? You are probably saying this to yourself. Today we had our first bonfire of the season. It is close to Easter and we did not have fresh marshmallows....do you know where this is going yet? Hehe yes....yes, this is a Peep. My son decided to see what happens when you roast a Peep. Well, here it is folks. Peep abuse!!!

I am a few days behind, but I am going to catch up. This day was my daughter's 19th birthday. She was gone pretty much all day with work and school. I guess that is what happens when they grow up. = /

Well, it is done!!! There is a few tweaks yet until it is up and running but this is the result. It will be neat to see how much it saves us on our electric bill. I can't wait!!!!!

Here is a photo of day 3 of solar panel put up. Not much has changed, but they do have wiring in. We are getting closer!!!

Here is a photo of the first rosebud on my rose bush of the season. Although, the photo is pretty, I don't particularly like it because the rosebud is not real sharp. You can't see all the lines clearly, but you can still tell it is a rose. If I was to do the photo again, I would use a different lens. One that is more suited to getting close up and capturing every detail.

The weather was so beautiful, I sat outside for a little while and enjoyed it. My kitty enjoyed it as well. Here he is enjoying the Spring flowers. Love it!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Ok my photo is not just green, but there is green in it. So that counts, right? This is a photo of my Rosemary bush. I think that is what it is called. Purple is my favorite color so I love these little flowers. Spring is here in a few days, but it often shows up early here. I love Az for that reason.

The flowers in my yard are blooming like crazy. Here is just one of them. I planted these several years ago and it spread all over. Most of them I love because they are a beautiful orange but some of them have to be removed. =( lol

Today is our last full day in California. We took time to relax by playing games, going to the pool and I went to see these gorgeous flowers. There were acres and acres of them in many different colors. It was a great last day!

We went to the beach again today. It was very windy so the waves were pretty big. But my son had some fun of his own. He found a hole in the sand and got into it. His siblings saw the opportunity to bury him. I, being the fun mom that I am, put my foot prints right in front of him so he looks like a big head with feet. It was fun!!!

Today we went to Sea World. Our kids have never been here, so we had to give them the experience. We had a great time. So, I have to post more than 1 photo. hehe

Today we went to Oceanside pier. There were pelicans enjoying it as much as the tourists. There was a warning sign as well that stated "Do not pet pelicans. They bite only stupid people!" lol  I know they aren't the most beautiful bird, but I still enjoyed taking photos of them.

We went to the beach and the kids had a blast. Our resort offers beach toys so they decided to take boogie boards. Here is my son having the time of his life in the waves. =D

Today was my son's birthday. We are on vacation and we planned to go to Legoland at some point while we were here. So, we thought it would be nice for him to be able to go on his birthday. Here is a perfect photo to represent the beach bums we are on this trip. lol

I know I am a day behind, but I take several photos throughout the day and then pick my favorite. For this day, I choose a few. The sunsets here at our resort are remarkable. Here is a few to show you.

March 7th

I went and got my nails done for our vacation to the ocean. I wanted a color that was beachy and I am very happy with what I picked out. =)

Engagement Session

I finished my engagement session for a wedding in April. It was very outdoorsy and the couple is so much fun to work with. I wish them so much happiness.

March 6th

We had some really cold weather at the beginning of the week. I noticed that my rose bushes endured it all and these new leaves were working their way out in the sunshine as the week warmed up. I thought they were beautiful!!!

Throwback Thursday!!!!

This is a photo from the first wedding I ever photographed. I love how this photo turned out. I have learned so much since that day. I don't do a lot of weddings. Not because I am not asked, but because of the large responsibility and time that goes into them. I try to do only small weddings. Having a business, a part time job, and 4 kids is enough on this plate.

Ok, I know this is kind of a silly photo. As well as being a photographer, I am a lunch lady at an area school. I make pizzas and this days pizza was what I call Italian Chicken pizza. It has chicken and mushrooms and a marinade. Anyway, I was cutting my pizza when I spotted this mushroom shaped like a heart. I did not plan it that way. I just couldn't believe what a perfect heart it made. So, I made it my photo for today. =)

March 4.....The Hunt for Red Oreo

These may look like any ordinary oreos, but don't let them fool you. They are not!!! These oreos are rare and are only available for a limited time. They are the Red Velvet Oreo's! My son tried them at school and fell in love right away. He sent his dad and myself on a wild oreo chase because he had to have them. But we could not find them anywhere until yesterday. My wonderful hubby stopped at the store to pick something up for me and there they were. The last bag on the shelf. He grabbed it up immediately! My son is in oreo heaven. 

March 2nd

March 2nd was cold and wet. I took this photo after dropping my kids off at school and was heading to work. The school bus was so appropriate for this photo because it fits right in with the story. This temp for the morning is not bad but it dropped as the day went on.

March 1st

I mentioned last week that I am starting a challenge in March. I am going to take a photo a day for the whole month. These photos may be very random or may tell a story of the day. Whatever my eye catches.
Today, March 1st, after church, we were sitting in the parking lot when I spotted the vehicle next to us. I liked the color and the way the raindrops showed up on the side of it. So, this is my first photo of March.
